This meetup is for: Anyone wanting to explore and expand creative bandwith will enjoy this soft yet powerful way to rekindle, recharge or boost the natural creative spark. I decided to offer Artist Way meetup groups in my art studio as a response to  former  Artist Way class members who want more but don't want a 12 week class. . . . a great introduction to Julia Cameron's Artist Way concepts.

This group is for you if you a) are new to the ideas and want to explore, b) are experienced in the process and want to keep your practices strong, d) are recharging, rebooting a creative dream, and/or e) want the support of like minded creatives.

Welcome: emerging or established writers, artists, dancers, singers, poets, sculptors, actors, jewelers, quilters, scrapbookers, knitters, any entrepreneur...any one creating anything!

My qualifications: I have participated in Artist Way facilitated 'classes' 3 times. I facilitated/taught the Artist Way Coursework over 10 times. I studied with Julia Cameron in Austin, Texas for 3 days.  There are many pathways to juicing the creative flow; this is one of the most effective ways I know of. The use of it has changed my life...and as a psychotherapist, I understand the process of change. This is not therapy. It is growth producing and mind/spirit expanding!

Materials: I use my previous Artist Way Class Notes and experience to facilitate discussions choosing themes that fit the group focus of the month ... Nominal fee (barely) covers meetup site fees, materials I use in meet-ups and use of space. You provide: an 8.5x11" blank page notebook and your own copy of Artist Way by Julia Cameron. I provide: creative exercises, pens, markers, poster board for collages (periodically), music, old magazines to tear from (for collages) ETC. Periodically, we have group shows displaying our creative works to the public!

Why I do this: As an artist, this group helps me keep my own creative batteries charged.  We share support resources in the community with each other.  I love the supportive creative environement of other artists!
