What we’re about
A group who share a love of camping, the outdoors and nature. We make each and every camp an awesome and fun weekend away. The diversity of the members with all the different ideas of camping make this one unique experience. This is definitely a group to make life-long friends, after spending a couple or more days together, you will want to do it all again. Mostly there is no schedules in this group (although I give lots of suggestions of the area). Activities include bushwalks, swimming, fishing, kayaking, exploring, historical sites, drives, wildlife, stargazing, night walks and anything outdoors really. We all sit around a warm camp fire by night, chat and share stories, play music (if someone brings a guitar), we cook amazing meals collectively. I try and pick a variety of locations and experiences to cater for all tastes. We also have regular social events in between our camping adventures. There is a small annual fee charged for this group. This goes towards the meetup fees and lots of other goodies you get at camps. Only paid members are able to join our events with the exception of first timers who may come to one event before being a paid member to see whether the group is for them. On a regular basis I will remove members from the group if they haven't been active with the group for a while or have never signed up to an event.
Personal responsibility: Camping Adventures with a fire take no responsibility for any mishaps that may occur for any organised event. This meetup group is not a formal association or organization and have no public liability insurance. It is up to each individual to make sure they are capable of any activities attempted. All individuals who sign-up for the events automatically agree to take individual responsibility for their actions and will not hold the organizer liable.
