"Cabin-in-the-Snow" Get-Together Weekend and Snow Play at Crescent Lake Resort

  • to

  • This location is shown only to members

  • Crescent Lake Resort is located on Crescent Lake and is plowed for winter access to it's cabins and lodge restaurant. Go to www.crescentlakeresort.com to view the campground map, restaurant menu and rental equipment. (They rent snow mobiles during the winter).

There is a trail around the entire lake for snow shoeing/skiing. Gold Lake Snow Park is a short distance away with an extensive trail system that accommodates snow shoe and Nordic skiers of all levels. Willamette Pass Ski Resort is directly across from Gold Lake Snow Park for those who prefer downhill skiing.

We can rent The Crescent cabin to share as a group. There are 4 Queen beds, 3 single beds and two bathrooms and a full kitchen and dining area. All sheets and towels are provided and the restaurant is open for all meals or we can share cooking/meals.

To make this work we need a minimum of 7 people and can have up to eleven people share the cabin. We will divide the cost by beds chosen. Single beds will be $49.55 and Queens will be $99.10 for two nights, including the tax. You could share a queen bed and split that cost in half.

Dogs costs are extra - let's vote on whether dogs should go on this retreat...it's mostly indoors...tracking in/out may get messy...what do you think?

We will need to make a single reservation, so first need you to RSVP and answer some questions and then we will need to plan a meeting to discuss carpooling, meal sharing and get the money before we reserve the cabin.

In the event we don't get enough people to commit, we will have to increase the share of the cost or abandon the idea. WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO OFFER A REFUND IF YOUR PLANS CHANGE LATER. IF FOR SOME REASON WE NEED TO CANCEL THE EVENT, ALL MONEY WILL BE REFUNDED.

I won't be able to attend the retreat. Sounds like fun. Enjoy.

Worth it for the piece of mind. Most places do charge about that per dog. Some actually give you something for your additional outlay, such as a towel for their muddy paws, a sheet to cover any furniture they might be on.

Don't forget that even at resorts that are "dog-friendly" there are fees to be paid to bring them. At Crescent Lake the fee is $10/night/dog.

Friendly dogs tagging along get my vote. They don't have to be messy- that's what old towels are good for. I keep towels by front & back doors & my girls are used to having their feet wiped. Boarding them here isn't necessarily an issue since we have someone who will come by 3x/day for $15, but I'm in agreement with Judy- would like to bring 'em along as opposed to leaving them behind. Queen or twin works for me.

Not sure if I gave my input. I would vote for taking dogs. Otherwise it cost me $$$$ to board and she is lots of fun. Also would like to do pot lucks, crock pots as long as we have the facilities. Think I requested single bed earlier, if possible. Sharing a queen OK. Carpool works for me too. When I called resort this cabin has been updated. Only weekend available (at the time) was on the weekend of 21st so hopefully anyone else thinking about this should come forward so we can have our meeting. Looking forward to this.

OK I called resort. Many cabins updated, beding, etc good. No problems with service. The Cescent large one has been re-done - new floors, couches, etc. Only available for Feb. 21 & 22, If we are interested should act ASAP. It's a go for me even if I have to leave my dog.

Hi Girls, I stayed at Crescent Lake Resort for a weekend in June about 1 1/2 years ago. I have to say the cabin we rented was pretty bad, given the high price...not worth the cost. There were no towels. There are some small newer cabins that may be better. Truthfully, I would not go back.

I food at the lodge was good at that time.

I have seen various reviews on this place, some great & many not-so wonderful. Some cabins have been updated while others are very old with holes in furniture, bedspread etc. Have also read comments about their lack of customer service. Maybe things are different now? A friend emailed me some links at work to reviews online- yelp might have some. Am not at work again til Monday so can't provide the specific links til then. Based on what I read & on my friend's experience just stopping with her husband for a bite to eat there ...I would pass on staying there.

I would rather not have dogs on a indoor event. I will get my own cabin for medical reasons, I have seen the inside of one of th cabins it was like new, Arlene

Has anyone checked this place & accomodations out? There are some seriously poor reviews out there on it.

Looking forward to this event. Confused about rental.
Single $49 .55 for 2 nites? $99.l0 double. If single is for 2 nites, I would prefer it.Would be interested in carpooling. I would vote for some meals in cabin. Crock pot ideas. Do cabins have wood stove?
