Hi Meg, I got your notification about the change of date so I didnt turn up. But I have a standing commitment on Tuesday and Thursday evenings so wont be able to make anything set for those times. Can I ask how things are normally organised? Do you see who is interested in an event and then search for a day and time that suits most OR do you set a day and time and see who can make it.

OK, let's rethink - shall we do dinner at Tilleys, say 6 pm Thursday? (To avoid Friday crushes.) That way I don't have to drive home then return. I can book a table inside so we don't miss out. For scheduling events, it may be an idea to have people contact me and vote for a good time for them. Venue is easier to negotiate than times, really. I'll change it and see how we go.

Well I can relate to cross country travel....how about the new wine bar at the Griffith shops - or Kingston/Manuka is good too. There's a venue upstairs from Verve in Manuka (or is it called Public Bar now?) on the main corner which has relaxed comfortable seating and never too noisy or busy. There are plenty of other places in that area....whatever works for everyone ...time date and place, I'll go with that.

Suggestion for location - I am a member of the Southern Cross Club (Jamison on Northside/Yacht club in Yarralumla) which has ample couch seating for conversation - don't know if that would appeal to all. Otherwise, Tilleys in Lyneham/Ha Ha in Belconnen/.
I am not so familiar with south side though have heard of CafeQ at Curtin which is small but quite unique or A bite to Eat in Chifley. Coffee, wine or something casual could be a good starting point.
