Have the Olympics inspired you to hurtle yourself, full speed, down a mountain on a bike?
Come and join sporting legend Michael Milton from Big Foot Adventures as he teaches us the basics of mountain biking.
Michael will start us off easy - on the bike paths learning about our bikes, changing gears, brakes and feet positions. We will then move onto some wide dirt trails and get comfortable with turning some tighter corners, balance practice and emergency stopping. We then progress into some single track and look at riding over obstacles.
The ride will be a fun adventure and the program will be flexible and run in a supportive environment to make sure participants develop their skills in a safe way.
Participants need to bring comfortable excercise clothing, sports shoes, water bottle and the obligatory sense of adventure (no denim or headphones). Bruce ridge is rideable in most weather conditions but a heavy downpour could stop us. If there is steady rain the ride will be off but if there is nothing coming out of the sky then we should be going ahead.
Michael will send out an SMS to all participants 1 hour before we meet if the ride is off. If we get rained out we can reschedule and refund if people can’t make the alternative date.
Bike and helmet will be provided, or you can bring your own mountain bike if you have one.
(If you do wish to bring your own bike, it must be in good repair and you need to carry at least one spare tube that fits your bike).
Cost: $93.00 per person, please pay via pay pal link below or email me for alternate payment options.
($70.00 if you bring your own bike, email me if you wish to take this option and I will let you know how you can pay.)
