We're tackling the first section of the "new" Canberra Centenary Trail to celebrate Australia Day and would like you to come along. We're meeting in the forecourt of APH - just above the steps to the underground car park - look for a group wearing lots of yellow.
The walk will go from Parliament House to the War Memorial and return - approximate distance is 13km. On our return we'll walk through the celebrations in Commonwealth Park, so we may even be able to score some of the big breakfast if there is any left... if not, we'll just have to settle for coffee at the APH cafe at the end of the walk.
The Centenary Trail is about 150km in total, and we will progressively complete it over the next couple of years as part of our regular walk schedule - I hope to post most of the walks to meetup, but you can ask to also go on my email list to make sure you are kept in the loop.
We collect a $2 donation at each walk for the Heart Foundation, who do lots of good work promoting heart health and supporting walking in the community.
