Paul took us on a nice 8km walk along the Wanniassa Ridge line. The route is at http://www.mapmywalk.com/routes... for those with an interest. It was a great walk with a small group, and many thanks to Paul for leading us on it.
Sorry bailing. Last minute I know. Definite apologies
I should have checked the ACTION schedule before committing. Sorry, but I won't be able to make it w/o transport. :(

So, I've injured my knee hiking and am not going to be able to make this walk (or next week's Mt Tennant walk). Is there anyone who'd be happy to put their hand up to take charge? The regulars know just how little is involved! I have a pdf of the pages from the Marion Stuart book that I was intending to follow. I'd be happy to email that to someone (you'll need to give me an email address as it's not possible to send attachments via meetup's email facility) if you want.

I was planning on doing the walk suggested in Marion Stuart's Day walks in Canberra (or whatever it is called) book. I have a pdf of the pages but can't attach them here. Tell me what you want to know and I'll try to answer!
Thanks Tamzen! I suppose difficulty, what the attraction ('broad sweeping vistas' etc) is, how long it will take, etc...
I haven't done the walk before (I rarely have when I post them here!), so all I know is what I've read. The book says the difficulty is medium - 3 hours for an 8km circuit. The book overestimates a bit I think, but that's a guideline. The attraction is 'a variety of landscapes' - on the bill are a pine forest, a greenway, and a nature reserve which mixes wood and grassland. There's also the attraction of the company of course, though I'm not making any promises about that either!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
