I missed out on this last time but am keen to do it while the weather's still cool.

Thanks for organising Doug, challenging yet very satisfying at the end of it. Lovely to meet some keen walkers and see some fabulous views.

I would also like to thank Doug, it was great. I enjoyed the company of all.
Credit goes to Tamzen, not me.
Thanks for a really good challenging 5 hr walk, and the great company, Cheers Cheryl
Great walk once again. Thanks everyone
Excellent walk. Stunning views.
Great views and great company. Challenging but good.
I'd like to do a first walk with this group but I don't want to slow down the group as I'm not a fast climber (too heavy) though I do enjoy hiking.

Maybe try the Honeysuckle to Orroral walk in a couple of week's time to get an idea of the speed we move.

My speed would be fine on honeysuckle to orroral. It's just the amount of ascent climbing to mt tennant that made me concerned my pace might be slow. I may turn up but only if I can be assured no one will wait for me. I am quite happy to walk alone as long as I have mobile phone coverage.
People will wait. It would be against the spirit of the group/meet up to leave someone behind.
I've had a gastro bug for two days so I'll skip this Sunday anyway. Thanks for your feedback. Honeysuckle to Orroral it is.

I can do a pickup at Woden bus station at 7.15am. If you want a lift, it will be from the western side of Callum St opposite Woden Town Park. I can take up to three pax. Post a reply if you want to get a lift, otherwise I will go directly to the start point.
Thanks Doug. I'll be there be 0715. Please stop for me.
Can anyone offer a lift please from Woden area? Happy to pay costs, of course.

I didn't realise it would be on the long weekend... I am away & won't be able to join this time. Looking forward to future walks though. Have fun!

Hi. Just wondering about distance and expected time walk will take? Thanks
0 · September 21, 2013
It's about 14km, with 700m of climb. When the meetup group walked it in May, it took a bit over 4 hours of walking. Allowing five hours all up with breaks etc should be reasonable.

Does it take about 5 hrs to do this walk ?
Unfortunately away this weekend, but looking forward to all the other walks.

Is it @ the visitors centre?
Again just pretending to rsvp so this goes to the group. Sounds great, but too difficult for me. Have fun!
