Point Hut Crossing to Kambah Pool

I'm suggesting a nice walk along the Murrumbidgee River with Bacon and egg brunch to finish with.I think it will take between 3-4hrs . I'm thinking there will need to be some volunteers to meet me at Kambah Pool for a car drop to return to point hut afterwards .What do you think?

And for anyone feeling brave enough for swimming in the river bring swimming gear, towel etc. Kambah Pool has a nice sandy beach.

Hey Paul, I'm bringing Drew and a couple of his friends along on Sunday too. As there are 4 of us, we'll arrange our own car shuffle from Kambah Pool to Point Hut, so can be excluded from the numbers for transport. We'll see you either at Kambah Pool at 7.40 or at Point Hut at 8am. Apart from vegan food (looks like only me which is cool), is there anything else you need me to bring?

Hi. I just looked at the bus schedule and see that bus service doesn't start early enough on Sunday to get me there in time. Is anyone driving from Belconnen area? I'm certainly willing to help with whatever needs to be done in return for a ride. Ellen

    Hi all,
Can I get an idea of how many non-egg-eating veggies I am looking at grabbing food for for this Sunday's walk? Paul, I'm guessing we're taking over some barbeques, right? I haven't got as far as planning what to bring yet, but will do before Sunday!

    December 11, 2013

  • Paul

Hi Anna , At this stage with 21 people attending ,I will need 4 volunteers with cars to meet me at 7.40 at Kambah Pool .Five of us will travel to Point Hut Crossing for 8-810am Start . After Brunch you will be able to grab a lift back to point hut to pick up your car . This will be a collective effort , I am looking forward to this walk not only because it is picturesque but it brings together a great bunch of people I have enjoyed the company with throughout the whole year .

Paul, I'm happy to be part of the transport arrangements.

Hi, can I ask some silly questions as a new comer: where to park the car? if at Point Hut, does it mean we will walk back? where is the meeting point? the MAP shows a few dots spread around and I guess I've been already lost before the Walk starts :)

    December 1, 2013

  • Paul

Numbers are looking good for this walk , I will be catering for my friendly veggie people , couple kilos of bacon 2 dozen eggs and some fresh bakery bread.Should be great!!!

    November 29, 2013

    • Tamzen

I'm happy to deal with the veggie/vegan side of things if you want, Paul.

Wonderful idea! I've got my TAMS maps of centenary trail now so will check for concurrence. Always wanted to do that walk. Another is to the gorge from Kambah Pool. Note to self, flies really are a plague this time of year...

Sorry Paul, but I can't make this date - next time hopefully. You might also want to change the start time to 8am - not pm.
