I am working on an online Retail Health initiative that educates consumers at point of sale about healtier eating options and then lets them purchase. The vision is: Taking Healthy Eating Mainstream. The idea is to use the power of technology/ filtering/ database management to tailor healthier eating choices to customers depending on need. The key is to use barcode scanning technology on a smart phone in stores to present information, educate the customer on options and then enable a purchase. It's complex and tricky an represents an example of integrating new technology/ internet delivery and adding value to a customer in a traditional market. Hoping to do a proof of concept next year and am looking for assistance.
Feed back/ support on the concept and how to do things at little cost to execute a proof of concept. Amongst other things I need specific development expertise in database structures and mobile/ web/ other consumer interfaces.
