I keep checking my weather app on my phone and it is showing sunshine on Sunday. After a week of this rainy, cloudy weather and maybe some snow, I am ready to see sun! Oh, yeah, and it's my birthday weekend so I think we should hike in celebration! :)
We will meet on 2nd Street, behind the Virginia War Memorial and Spring Street. Park along the street, there is plenty of parking (you will see construction equipt on the right- pass that and then park).
We will head over Brown’s Island and onto the Canal Walk. From there we will work our way up Shockoe Slip and over to the Manchester Bridge. We will keep it a pretty easy hike and off trails since they are muddy and slick. We will cross the river and get on the back of Belle and walk around the outer loop enjoying the views of the River.
If the weather is still bad- then I will cancel by noon on Sunday. I will send a notice out on this site. Please check for it. We will refund money if the hike is canceled.
We are thrilled that folks are enthusiastic about joining us on our hikes! Please understand that we can only accommodate a certain number of folks and pups on a given hike. Our group sizes are limited to ensure that we can effectively manage each group. You are welcome to RSVP with a guest (or two), but if the hike is filled up, please respect our limitations. There are more hikes on the way, you won't be left out!
