The days are getting shorter, and our dogs are probably getting walked less and less as a result. Not fair!
We can make it work, and have a great time after the sun has set! We'll arm you with a trusty flashlight, and guide you through the darkness to get a beautiful, unique view of the city after dark.
Dogs don't see too good anyway, so they don't mind the dark. You shouldn't either! It'll be a blast!
The hike will be moderately difficult, hilly at first on a narrow trail, progressing to a fairly flat hike on a wide path. We'll be heading downstream from Reedy Creek to the bridge near 22nd St, crossing over to Belle Isle, and heading back from there.
It should be about 3 1/2 miles total, mostly leashed, but as it gets later and the regular park users disappear, it might just be ok to let our well behaved pooches run off lead for a mile or so!
Oh, did I mention, you get a sweet flashlight? It's not amazing, but I like it cause it's small and powerful and gets the job done!
