Join professional photographer — and Mom — Laura Morita for an inspiring and informative session that's perfect for Moms and Dads who want to make the move from snapshots to great photographs of their families, friends and especially children.
Laura first started shooting with a Canon EOS Rebel when her second child was one year old. For the first year, she kept the dial on “Auto” until she was ready to really learn how to take control over her camera and have creative freedom. Now, six years later, she is taking beautiful posed and candid portraits that are colorful, fun, full of life and most of all, capture the essence of her subjects.
In tonight's Meetup at Canon’s downtown San Francisco showroom, she will be discussing how to move from taking snapshots to taking professional grade images with digital SLR cameras. You’ll learn about the basics of exposure, focus, composition, lenses, light and how to quickly translate this into wonderful images of loved ones. She will walk you through her thought process when she is getting ready to take an image, in a way that’s fun and inspiring, not technical. If you’re ready to take photography with your digital SLR camera to the next level, you won't want to miss this!
