What’s on the Menu and EOS Tricks (Free Class!)

**This is a last minute FREE addition for Thursday evening from 6:30 - 9:30pm.**
Doors will open at 6pm.

We all love to read manuals, right? Hardly! The menu on your Canon EOS isn’t always the easiest thing to understand. We’ve had countless requests for a menu dive-in class, so here it is!

Using Canon’s mid-range EOS 7D as our example camera, we'll give you clear and insightful reasons on why you’d want to use each feature and explain what it does in real-world terms — not just give you a quick definition from the instruction book. We’ll also highlight important and frequently used Custom Functions and what each of them are used for. This class will open your eyes to conveniences you never knew were in your camera and we’ll also share some cool, little known tricks you can do with them.

Don’t own an EOS 7D? No problem. The EOS 7D’s menu items are extensive, yet in many ways are similar to other Canon EOS SLRs. So this evening’s information can be applied to nearly any other EOS camera model and, of course, it’s perfect if you do own an EOS 7D. There are bound to be items on your camera’s menus that you’ve never fully understood. This presentation is a chance to have a Canon representative walk you through them, one at a time, and explain in a way you won't find in the owner's manual.

Thank you David for conducting this class. Although I don't have any of the high end Canons discussed in class, I still learned a lot in the is class. Many of the general advice (tricks and tips) are quite useful even for a rank amateur like me. For those who registered but did not show up, I wish you'd cancel your reservation, because there are others on the wait list who did not get to come, even though there were plenty of empty seats.

When I arrived I was very disappointed to learn that the menu system on the 7D wasn't going to be covered as advertised, instead the class was on the 5DMK3. I have a 5DMK3 and would have brought it instead of the 7D. I was particularly upset when I found out they knew the information in the posting was wrong. How hard would it have been to send out a second email with a correction?

Hello, I am new to MeetUp in general so this is my first experience with utilizing it. I received the email invite yesterday and clicked on RSVP to attend and see that I am on a wait list. I assume that means your class is full and those on the wait list are waiting to see if spaces open up? Could you please let me know how this works and what I can expect as notification as to if I will be included to attend or not and what that time frame could be? JUst to be able to schedule my own time. Thank You.

There are others in the area, but some close early. Make sure to ask how late you can retrieve your car. The two above are open until midnight.

    Hi Jim,

Do you think you will clear the wait list? i assume that I'M number ten on the list. If I was flying I could relax since the no-show factor is high. However, the demand for these classes has tripled since last year. I wouldn't feel comfortable if I was number two.

Please advise if there is a chance of getting a seat. If not I'll see you on Saturday.

    Thanks, Ken
