With the holidays coming up soon, we usually get greeting cards in our mailbox. We all receive generic store-bought cards, for the most part, but the cards that we keep are usually made by someone special.
Join us for a day of creativity at Canon Live Learning San Francisco and we’ll show you how to make unique fine-art greeting cards that people will remember.
First, our resident master printmaker, Barbara Ellison, will walk you through photographing still life setups, including holiday themed floral arrangements, for the content of your cards. Then, Barbara will be there to help you create your images in Photoshop for card printing on Canon printers.
You may bring along your own images or use ones that you create in the class. She will demonstrate ways to enhance the image using paints and pastels on your card for an extra special unique look. You’ll have your own work, printed on cards, just in time for the holidays.
Please bring a laptop with Photoshop, if available, any images that you may want to use on a flash drive and your camera. Bring a lunch if you wish to work through the lunch hour.
What you will learn:
How to photograph still life sets using everyday lenses as well as macro lenses
