The Tilt-Shift Lens: A Landscape and Architecture Photo Dream

Two things you must do to register for this class:

1. RSVP here FIRST and then . . .

2. You MUST register for this class ($39) on our Canon site here:

Instructor: David Henry

Canon’s Tilt-Shift series of lenses bring a unique set of capabilities to the table. Back in 1991, Canon revolutionized the world of 35mm photography by introducing three Tilt-Shift (TS-E) lenses: the 90mm f/2.8, 45mm f/2.8 and 24mm f/3.5L. What makes Canon’s Tilt-Shift lenses special is summed up in their name. SLR and DSLR users have a lens that can mimic the movements of the front standard of a view camera. These lenses not only can shift to retain proper perspective control, but also could tilt to alter the plane of focus.

Once you understand the principals of how Tilt-Shift lenses work, you can free your mind and be as creative or technically correct as you want with them.

Landscapes and architecture are the focus for this class. Taught by our resident Canon expert, David Henry, you’ll learn how to work with this style of lens so that you’ll have a great deal of confidence using one out in the field.

Join us for an evening of perspective and widen your own toolset with this unique class!

As someone looking for an introduction to tilt/shift lenses and their uses in architectural photography, I was quite pleased with the amount of info there was to glean. Thanks, Dave, for a fairly in-depth overview of Canon's t/s lenses and their many applications.
