Good job Shawn. Gave me the bug to go learn some new things.

I'll checkout out diesel.io - sounds interesting. Can't say I do a lot of network programming at work but sounds fun to play with. I'm getting into Python in my spare time

Good meetup! The talk was interesting and there was food! ;-)

Here's Kivy (http://kivy.org/#home), another option for x-platform mobile/GUI dev (in Python).

Also, anyone who's interested in Python network programming should checkout http://diesel.io/ too. It's an open source project I contribute to that's great for writing backend services. It does async network I/O like Tornado but it uses a kind of coroutine behind the scenes that lets you write your code in a natural, procedural style instead of having to register all sorts of callbacks.
