Capital Area .NET SharePoint Special Interest Group Meetup

Visual Studio 2013 for ALM and SharePoint with Tim Ferro

Visual Studio 2013 is a monumental leap forward for Microsoft development. There are so many useful enhancements and features that each could be their own session. This session will give an overview of the new features then focus on those related to Application Lifecycle Management, Mobile, Team Foundation Server 2013, and SharePoint. From project planning, to mobile testing, to inline enhancements from CodeLens, this session will show developers and team leads why Visual Studio 2013 is worth upgrading to immediately!

Tim Ferro is a SharePoint Architect and SharePoint Development Team Lead living outside Washington DC in Northern Virginia.  As a professional IT consultant for the past nine years, he has been working almost exclusively with SharePoint 2007/2010 for over the past six. He is a Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist in SharePoint development for both MOSS 2007 and SharePoint 2010 and also SharePoint 2010 Configuration. Currently he is working on custom solutions for a number of different SharePoint versions (2007/2010/2013), as well as migrations to SharePoint 2010 on multiple networks including custom UI/UX and complex features. His sessions are pulled directly from real-world experience and implemented best practices at numerous clients.  A frequent presenter at DC/VA user groups, he also likes to tweet, blog, and attend SharePints!
