We are a group of ordinary people seeking to experience our little piece of our world one activity at a time. Cape Cod is rich in geographical, cultural and recreational treasures which remain unexplored to the many who live here. As a group, we intend to venture forth discovering the lifestyle that so many of our visitors find as a draw to keep them coming back year after year. Discover the jewel of Massachusetts with us and experience the wealth that comes with living the Cape Cod life!
Established in 2006 (under the name Underground Cape Cod), this Meetup Group sets a new standard. We strive to offer events every single week. A typical event ranges from as few as 2 to over 50 attendees. We hope you will join us and our current members for a chance at meeting new friends and good times.
We organized or attended over 100 great events in 2014, from theme parties at clubs and restaurants, to outdoor activities and tours, to simple get togethers, there is something for everyone. Whether you are interested in exchanging business tips, learning or trying something new, exploring the Cape, or finding friends Cape Codyssey hosts a variety of events for individuals like you. As a member, you will be able to participate in a variety of entertaining activities without having to go through the trouble of planning all of them yourself.
Cape Codyssey is a paid group ($1.25 per month) but you get to try us out for free for 60 days to see if we are a good "fit" for you. Below is our mission statement, member guidelines, and a few URL's you might look at to get started.
Cape Codyssey is committed to bringing social and recreational opportunities to Cape Codders here on our fabulous peninsula! There is so much this area has to offer and with the active participation of our members we seek to offer the opportunity to share our abilities, knowledge, and activities with fellow members. Together Cape Codyssey and its members we will uncover the hidden treasures the Cape offers. We aim to bring opportunities for fun and engagement to our Cape members right here at home.
Members are encouraged to participate in planning, posting, and attending events of which they enjoy participating.
All members must post a picture of their face so that others can recognize them when attending an event.
Either you are coming to an event or not. Please use the RSVP function to let the event host know if you will be coming and update promptly if plans change. Please try to solidify your RSVP no later than 24 hours as some events require reservations that the organizer must consider when planning an event.
Plan on separate checks when attending an event and when necessary to reimburse host - please be considerate by bringing cash to cover this.
We have a Facebook group we use it to chit chat and get to know each other a little better so when you go to your first activity you don't feel like you are walking into a group of strangers.

I also want to add that any member can and should post an activity. This will ensure we are doing thing you like to do and others get to share it with you. If you plan an event you need to attend that event, so be sure to mark it on your calendar. If you've planned an event and need to cancel it, you can do so on your event page. You can also have a minimum number of people needed for an event to proceed.
