Monday Morning Paddling

  • May 26, 2014 · 9:45 AM

Monday Morning Paddles are hosted by Dick and Judy Clark of Ballston Lake.

Please abide by their instructions and requests below. Directions to each location are listed the end.

From Dick and Judy:

Here are our paddles to get us through May.  Please plan to be totally off-loaded and in the water ready to paddle at 9:45.  If you like, bring a picnic lunch for during or after the paddle (optional).  Unless you want to let us know that you are going there is no need to respond by email about whether or not you will be paddling - just show up.

Rain and/or high winds will cancel the paddle and if the weather looks possibly threatening, check your email and we will try and get an email out by 8:00 that Monday morning if (and only if) the paddle is canceled.

We tried the 6 mile waterworks once and the paddle it offers is too short for most of our paddlers. Also I recall that there was a longer carry to get to the launch site.

Thanks Dick. I figured it was a 12 mile paddle seeing that it is the 6 mile water works and all :)

I have never been to 6 mile water works. Dick would you be willing to schedule that sometime this summer?

Luanne, when you're coming into Albany, let me know. Throw the boat on and I'll meet you there.

Thanks Kathy. Hey, I got on the waiting list for the program in Lake George. She had already filled the other cancellations, but I am first on the list now.
