The intent for this group is to create a gathering of working bodywork professionals to share and enhance our collective knowledge base, create a vibrant support group (really great for those of us working on our own!) to bounce ideas off of (or just kick back and shoot the breeze together), and, hopefully, have a little fun!
For now, we will offer a monthly "meetup" at CNW School of Massage in Albany on the third Tuesday of the month. Sessions will be fairly informal, but will follow an agenda so that you know that you are spending your valuable time wisely. The general structure will include time to catch up with colleagues and general professional networking, a short time for group "business", then followed by an opportunity to work together through a topic of interest to the group. This could be anything from sharing marketing ideas to focused (a technique, a particular body area, etc.) bodywork exchanges (a great way to learn something new from someone else's talented hands, and what better feedback than from our peers!).
Is there something you'd like the group to focus on? Please speak up! Members can (and should) suggest topics of interest for meetings, then we can come to a consensus from your input. We'll build the group from there.
