Hike to Five Finger Falls

This hike is approximately 12-14 miles, 1000 elevation gain.  This is a moderately-fast paced hike, more on the fast side.  If the gate is locked for winter, the hike will be closer to 14 miles.  This is not a hike for beginners or anyone with balance issues as there are several creek crossings.  This hike can be on the cool side, so bring layers, a good amount of water and something to eat along the way.

We will carpool in from the Epicenter cycling center.  Bring your State Park Pass if you have one or be prepared to pay entrance fee of $10.  I have a pass and can transport 3-4 people.

To clarify my last post....I'm going to drive in to the furthest parking area, then bike to the Aptos Creek Trailhead (Five Fingers Falls) and lock my bike. I have a bike rack on the car if anyone wants to join me in avoiding the road portion of the thru my profile.

I just don't like walking that flat road, so I'll bike to the trailhead and meet there. I have a pass (and a bike rack) so anyone who wants to do the same is welcome to join me.

Dave and I will be there.....on our 24th wedding anniversary. Shit, we are getting old! If you can give him a ride in I will jog to the winter gate. I need the additional exercise and will get there 30 minutes early to jog in!
