Black Nativity starring Tyrese Gibson, Forest Whitaker, Angela Bassett, Jennifer Hudson, Jacob Latimore and Mary J. Blige

In a contemporary adaptation of Langston Hughes' celebrated play, the holiday musical drama Black Nativity follows Langston, a street-wise teen from Baltimore raised by a single mother, as he journeys to New York City to spend the Christmas holiday with his estranged relatives Reverend Cornell and Aretha Cobbs. Unwilling to live by the imposing Reverend Cobbs' rules, a frustrated Langston is determined to return home to his mother, Naima. Langston embarks on a surprising and inspirational journey and along with his new friends, and a little divine intervention, he discovers the true meaning of faith, healing, and family.

There's often a chance to chat and drink before/after the film, so see you in the bar area to the right of the main entrance.

I liked the cast but didn't enjoy the film as much as I thought I would. Dave is an excellent host and added to my enjoyment of the evening as a whole

Didn't know it was a musical so it was a nice surprise, some of it I got lost as a bit patchy, it jumped from one scene to another which could of been linked together more.

Meeting point ;-) Once you come up the escalator there is a bar area to the right, so look for the guy with glasses and either a gold balloon or santa hat ;-) Film will probably start just after 7, but I'll be there from around 6.30 all being well.
Also, thanks to everyone who planned to make it but couldn't.
To those I won't see tonight, have a great weekend.
