  • Buy this! It's organic, "green", or even "eco-friendly"! How are we supposed to know a good choice from false marketing?

Join us for an exciting presentation on ecolabels, logos, and certifications. Our three esteemed panelists will tell us what different logos mean, what to look for, and the warning signs so we can be better and more informed consumers. We will navigate the array of claims in food, agriculture, electronics, cleaning supplies, and more with:

    Moderator: CarbonfreeDC volunteer, Heeral Bhalala
Patty Lovera - Food and Water Watch
Elisa K. Jillson - Federal Trade Commission, Green Guides
Todd Larsen - Green America, Corporate Responsibility Director

Everyone is welcome! Bring a friend! The Shaw Library is right across the street from the Shaw-Howard metro stop on the Yellow/Green line.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
