Do you know potential speakers or resources that CarbonfreeDC should be aware of? Do you have special knowledge that would be relevant?

I work in the Fuel Cell Technology program at DOE. I worked at the California Air Resources Board as an intern and followed the ZEV mandate over the last decade or so. I grew up (K-8th grade) off the grid in northern California.

What kinds of activities do you think this group should organize?

Activities could include a broad range of options such as green living seminars, e.g. setting up rain barrels, home gardening, to exploring community driven policy initiatives which encourage efficiency and reduced petroleum use (land fill/ waste water treatment to energy, etc.), preferential zoning for reneawable energy production (wind, PV, solar thermal, CSP, etc.)

Introduction

I am interested in alternative energy and I am interested in reducing my energy use and exchanging ideas about urban(suburban) sustainability.
