Hey everyone, Let's have fun learning the language of Wales !, or "Cymraeg" as its known in Welsh.
As a person who's been learning for a few years, I will share my knowledge of the 'native lingo' with you & we'll all help each other learn the language. We'll take it a step at a time. What I propose is that we begin with a few "taster sessions" (2 or 3 perhaps?) & if you're happy to continue further with the classes - great, we'll do that !
The suggested plan is that we meet up in a relaxed environment - & Central Library is my choice of location - as it will be quiet enough for us to speak to (& hear) each other. We can start with some basics & just take things at a leisurely & enjoyable pace. Also, Saturday afternoon is suggested - it will probably be better, as you may wish to drink & be merry on a Saturday night - rather than be having an informal Welsh class !
I'll have to change the previous day / date which Kirsty put up - sorry - because I will be unavailable. The alternative suggested date & time is the weekend after -8th of March - @ 3 PM, ... *I am flexible with the time & date, and happy to do what's best for you all. There is rugby on this day -but no game in Cardiff - so Wales will NOT be playing, & therefore it shouldn't be rammed with rugby fans !
This event will be fun & enjoyable - so why not come along & "dysgu Cymraeg" !!!! (that means "learn Welsh")
Look forward to seeing you,
(Hosted/organised by Jon)
