I Don't Like Cricket... But I Heard It's Good For A Few Bevvies And Sun Burn!

I've never been to a game but I've heard the T20 matches are fairly entertaining (and not 5 days) - I'm also told they even let you take your own beers in (I'm going to check on this though cause I'm sure they'll want everyone to pay £4 a can)...

So, I thought I'd check out Glamorgan V Essex, which has been chosen because it's the first friday match I can do - and because I want to get some fake tan tips! ;)

Matches are £15 if you pre-book on the website. I'm not sure how much they charge on the gate (I suspect a couple of quid more at most)...

Just to note, I've heard it's not quite as much fun if the weather isn't playing ball, so if it comes to the day and it's a bit drizzly, I'll likely move it to another match...

Says it bats off at 6.30pm on the website, so if we meet outside at 6.15pm. We’ll be on cathedral road from around 5 though as coming straight from work, so folks are free to join for a pre-match beer at y mochyn du...

Hi I am thinking of coming and looked at the ticket website but it seems like you are assigned a seat so we could not all sit together?

Forecast looking more promising today for Friday... going to double check again tomorrow morning (have till 5pm to book online), and if it says no rain will book! If you want to save a few quid, I suggest you do the same, otherwise you can rock up and buy on the gate friday! I'll post an update on here around 7.30am to let folks know what we are doing either way.

Weather forecast for friday isn't promising at the mo. Will check again on Wednesday though as there's a good chance it will change. I know last day to book online and save around a fiver is Thursday so I'm guessing folks will want a definite decision by then, rather than chance it on the day/at the door?

I don't think you can take your own beers sadly and I think it is £20 on the door.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
