Hands-on Neo4j 2.0

Agenda for the evening
18:00 - 18:30 drinks and networking
18:30 - 19:30 Jim Webber - Hands-on Neo4j 2.0
19:30 - 22:00 more drinks and nibbles

Hands-on Neo4j 2.0
Neo4j is the world's leading graph database, and now's the time to get into it. In this talk we'll introduce Neo4j and the new labelled property graph model to bring new folks up to speed. We'll then look at how Neo4j's query language Cypher has evolved allowing us to query large, sophisticated variably-structured data (aka graphs) rapidly in real time, using examples from travel and (retail) recommendations. Oh, and some Doctor Who in the home of Torchwood!

There'll be plenty for Neo4j old-hands and newcomers alike, and there won't be a table or join in sight!

Speaker
Jim Webber, Chief Scientist, Neo Technology

Dr. Jim Webber is Chief Scientist with Neo Technology the company behind the popular open source graph database Neo4j, where he works on graph database server technology and writes open source software. Jim, along with Ian Robinson and Emil Eifrem, co-authored the book Co-Author of O’Reilly Media’s Graph Databases.
