Please let us know the topics you would like to discuss regarding Career Excellence.

I'd be deeply grateful if you could provide details on how to look for commercial and administrative jobs if you don't have technical skill (to say, not a bcakground in biotechnology, IT, engineering...). In addition, some tips on hoe to star building your network if you don't know anyone in Zürich yet would be very much appreciated. And head hunters: how to contact them approach them, deal with them... What about part-time jobs requiring less qualification? I believe some of us could be really keen on working for afew hours each day, earning some income and keep on preparing for the next chance, learnign german and so forth. Guidelines on self-employment would be really interesting.

What do you think it is the most difficult issue about the Swiss Job Market?

In my experience so far, if you don't have a technical background (science and/or engineering), without speaking german you're virtually excluded from every chance of finding a job.

Introduction

Hi! I'm Javi, a young international trade professional. I've been living in Zürich since last November. I'd like to meet other expats and learn from other's job seeking experiences. See you all there.
