Carlisle MINI's 1st Annual Picnic

DEADLINE TO REGISTER WAS MONDAY, AUGUST 11th, 11:45pm!

We will be grilling HAMBURGERS, BOCA BURGERS & HOT DOGS.

Weather looks like it is going to cooperate, see you this Sunday!

In addition to some great raffle items, we will be holding a silent auction. The auction will consist of 4 Growlers!

A pavilion at William Kain Park has been reserved for the picnic. The pavilion name is Muskie and we have this pavilion from 8:00 AM until dusk. You can arrive as early as 11 a.m. The pavilion is to the right as you enter the park. From the parking lot, it is a short walk. You can park you MINI on the blacktop by the lane and walk to the pavilion. There will be plenty of club members to help if you need assistance with your item(s).

The website is yorkcountypa.gov. The parks in York County have a lot to offer, so please visit their site for details, information, and rules.

Click on this link for directions to William Kain Park

The pavilion has 12 standard size picnic tables, 4 grills, large trash cans and recycle bins, and a place to dispose of the charcoal. For those bringing children, there is a large playground in close proximity of the pavilion. Restrooms are within a short walking distance from the pavilion.

The cost will be $5 per person and plan to pay in cash when you arrive. This will help cover the cost of the picnic and pavilion. You will receive a door prize ticket when you sign in.

Bottled water will be provided.

We will be holding door prize and raffle drawings throughout the afternoon along with a 50/50 drawing!

Children 10 and under will be free.

Feel free to bring a tablecloth for your picnic table, your favorite yard game, and a lawn chair/bag chair.

Plan to eat between 2-3 p.m.

Any questions please post or send a message through Meetup.

GENERAL - we will need people to assist with setting up, cleaning up and grilling the burgers/dogs.

Although you may bring anything you want, below is a list of items that we would minimally like to have. If you want to bring other items, please do so as well. So that we don't end up with a lot of leftovers, please plan to bring/prepare for about 10-15 people unless it states otherwise. You will also note that multiple people can bring the same item to help spread the load/cost. Also, feel free to sign up for as many things as you want. There are electrical outlets for anyone that would like to bring a crockpot item.

This site is updated daily, so check back for most current info.

A forum under “Other Events” has been created called Carlisle MINI's 1st Annual Picnic.

Please visit this forum and signup for the items you would be interested in bringing to share. We will keep this page updated based on what members have signed up to bring.

As a reminder, York County parks do not allow alcoholic beverages.

Please join Carlisle MINI in their 1st Annual Potluck Picnic!

John, I'm touched that you enjoyed my company so much during the Coal Mine Run that you're lobbying for my attendance. Alas, I'm taking my nephew on the GICR and would hate to disappoint him by canceling now.

This is inside the date ranges that I'm trying to schedule summer vacation due to Eleanor's summer class to fall semester break dates. I'm not going to take a food sign up spot until the vacation dates are worked out; I'll fill a food list hole closer to the event if I don't end up with a vacation conflict!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
