Camping at Kings Mountain State Park

This is being scheduled at the same time as the Carolinas Campers Facebook groups camping trip at this park.

The Piedmont’s Kings Mountain State Park has miles of forested trails, two fishing lakes, and sits adjacent to Kings Mountain National Military Park, a Revolutionary War battle site. Local crowds flock to the park during regularly scheduled special events, especially every November when living history demonstrations are held at the park’s replica 1800s Piedmont farm. Overnight accommodations, including equestrian facilities, are available at the Kings Mountain campground. HOURS AND ADMISSION • Admission : $2/adult; $1.25 SC Seniors; age 15 & younger free • Days and Hours of Operation : 8am-6pm, daily (extended to 7am-9pm during Daylight Saving Time) • Office Hours : 11am-noon & 4-5pm M-F • Tours : Self-guided tours of the Living History Farm are available from 9am-5pm from Memorial Day through Labor Day and on weekends in April, May, Sept. and Oct. The farm is a replica of a 19th century South Carolina yeoman farm which includes a barn, cotton gin and blacksmith/carpenter shop. School group tours available by appointment. Kings Mountain is a DiscoverCarolina Site, which provides curriculum-based social studies programs for South Carolina school children. PETS • Pets : Pets are allowed in most outdoor areas provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash not longer than six feet. Owners will be asked to remove noisy or dangerous pets or pets that threaten or harass wildlife. Pets are not allowed in or around cabins, cabin areas or other lodging facilities. http://www.scgreatoutdoors.com/park-kingsmountain.html

      May 8

Brenda, and all others here on this forum..............the folks from the other group want everyone together, and are expecting everyone together. I haven't camped with any folks from this Carolina Campers Too group, but the folks on the other board are excited and welcome all the CC Too group. They hope we all can be together. Probably more from this forum in attendance, but please understand the tradition and long running history of this annual event started by several, still in the Carolina Campers Facebook group, a long time before I was a part of the group.
