What we’re about
WELCOME TO CAROLINA CAMPERS TOO
(Updated 12/22/2023)
If you are looking for a family-friendly camping group, this group is for you. We are fun-loving people who enjoy our Meetups, camping and each other.
Our members come from all walks of life and bring a variety of interests. Our members camp in anything from hammocks and tents to RVs.
In addition to camping there is usually hiking, cycling, canoeing/kayaking and/or other loosely organized activities. On Saturday nights, we usually get together for dinner and a campfire. Details will be posted in the comment section for each event.
Our board members plan several camping events each year. We usually stay at campgrounds with water and electricity throughout North and South Carolina. Events can be initiated by any member. However, board approval is required before the event is posted on Meetup. There is an online event dated December 31, 2024 for posting your 2024 campground recommendations. Please provide dates, links, address, phone numbers and any other pertinent information for the group to review. All reservations for campsites are the responsibility of each member. Once you have made your reservation, please RSVP and include the number of guests on your site. Please also post a comment with your site number and days attending.
While we welcome single folks, this group is not about matchmaking. Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.
Carolina Campers Too membership is free of charge. However, Meetup does charge us dues. Your voluntary donations are appreciated.
We keep the rules simple and few:
- Have fun!
- Be respectful in your postings.
- Play nicely with others.
- Please do not sign up for events if you are not going to attend. Please edit your RSVP if your plans change.
- If you have not visited the site in more than six months, you may be removed from the roster.
We look forward to meeting all of you HAPPY CAMPERS!
