This is our annual fun themed evening at the City of Raleigh - Parks and Recreation Department's Haunted Mordecai special event. Enjoy a night of Halloween themed fun including food, music, games, and crafts on the lawn at Mordecai Historic Park. There will be a costume contest for kids 12 and under at 6PM on the main stage with prizes going to the top three. NSPIR will be presenting the findings from over two years of investigations as well as recent findings from a September investigation from the Mordecai House and other structures at the park. This event is free and open to the public.
There will also be a Haunted Trolley Tour ($10) for a special nighttime tour of downtown Raleigh's most haunted places. The trolley departs at 6, 7:30 and 9PM from Mordecai Park and takes an hour long journey past the Governor's Mansion, the State Capital, the Heck-Andrews House, Century Post Office and Oakwood Inn with a special stop at City Cemetery. (Note - the Haunted TrolleyTour also runs on the evenings of October 22 and 28. See the link below for specific times.)
Finally partake in a lantern tour of the Mordecai House ($5). Since the Mordecai House opened to the public in 1970, staff, volunteers and visitors have reported paranormal activity. Do you think it is haunted? Take this nightime lantern tour to find out for yourself. 30 minute tours begin at 5PM and run until 10PM. Note: These last two activities typically sell out fast so don't hesitate to purchase tickets. You may purchase on-line with credit card - go to this link http://www.raleighnc.gov/search/content/PRecParks/Articles/ParksRecreationPublications.html and download the registration form under Leasure Ledger Sep-Dec 2011, or call the Mordecai Historic Park at [masked]. Don't hesitate !!!! Do it now.....

I waited to long to get tickets for the trolley ride. Anyone know how I could get 2 tickets? Is everyone going on the same tour?
Yea, I didn't notice you actually needed to make reservations till now. Hope we can get a ride on the trolly. Signed up for a reclink account tonight but it takes 2 days to process it said when i was done.
I think we may bring our son for the costume contest, look out for Yoda!
Since I am going to be working the crowd in the Chapel with George, I hadn't checked into the trolley rides. I hope you all get in!
