The Society of Women Artists Annual Exhibition, Mall Galleries, 3 July, 11.30am

The SWA is a unique Society in that its rich mix of oil painters, water colourists, sculptors, printers and ceramicists is able to showcase one of the most diverse shows in London today. Our artists all have something to say about modern life as well as gaining inspiration from history: the environment and human spirit in the form of drama, passion and comedy feature heavily in the beautiful work on show at the 2013 Annual Exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London.

Meet inside the galleries at the cafe area down the steps at 11.30am. The Mall Galleries can be found just off Trafalgar Square (under Admiralty Arch) on right hand side of Mall. Nearest tube, Charring Cross.

Hi Jane - no - not the Angus steak house. It is just called the steak house and does lovely options incl vegetarian for £7.95. We've eaten there several times before. If you have the steak it come on a hot stone so you cook it yourself to the required amount, served with salad and chips I think. Not huge but very tasty. It is the first restaurant on the corner of that little row of restaurants just up from the National Portrait Gallery leading to Leicester Square. Another option is to grab a sandwich at the Mall Galleries while we're there and come round for drinks/coffee. I don't have money to splash around myself so won't be suggesting somewhere expensive!! Look forward to seeing you, Julia

Hi Julia, hope you don't mind my asking but I had a look at the Steak House menu and if I'm thinking about the same place as you, it seems expensive for what it is (eg steak starting at £20 and fish and chips £15.95). This was the Angus Steak House, or did you mean somewhere else?
