Have you studied or been exposed to Buddhism in the past?

I have been reading about Buddhism for years, but now I would like to actually study Buddhism

What are you hoping to gain through joining our group?

I would like to acquire tools to be more giving and kind to all I see and work with. This is a time of change and stress and few resources and I feel it is essential to be kind at all times to those I see.I have been reading about Tibetan Buddhism and its emphasis on kindness seems absolutely correct.I would like to acquire, through learning, new ways of thinking that will help me remain patient and kind and help me bring a new approach to those I see who are suffering

We are a traditional Buddhist study group where we study a topic, discuss and meditate? Is that something that is agreeable to you?

I want to learn, your description sounds like what I have been looking for.

I believe all events should be free of charge. However, Meetup has recently upped their fees. If you're able, would you contribute whatever you can ($5-10 max)? Click on "Chip in" on the main page. No funds used for personal gain. Many thanks.
