Old Mason Farm Road, Chapel Hill, NC
Let's walk around the 2 mile loop at the Mason Farm Biological Reserve. There's plenty to see and lots of room to walk, observe nature, and converse with others. Plus, it's quiet, so we can hear each other speak!

Whoa! I think I did it, Ben!

George, is there any way possible to just use this page and repost this Meetup for Sunday, April 13? Surely, I don't have to make a whole new "meetup" do I? Thanks for your help!

Easter Sunday, April 20 might be hard for me at 2pm since I'm speaking in Fayetteville at 11 but I could meet at 3pm that date.

Good idea to cancel today. I was about to bow out, and I'll be happy to reschedule for my love Joyce and me another time. We would be there next Sunday, April 6 at 2pm if that is a new schedule.
Ben, I've cancelled the meetup but I don't know when to reschedule it. I don't think I can do it next Sunday. Why don't you propose a date? If it needs me to front-page it, I'll be glad to do it. Too bad about the high water in the creek today.
Well folks, it looks like we may get rained on. And the bitter wind doesn't help either. Plus, Morgan creek gets hard to cross after a bit of rain. I wouldn't want us to get stuck over there. So we probably should postpone it until another date. George or Emily, can you reschedule us for another Sunday in the future?
Sorry I can't make it tomorrow. A good friend in my lab defends her dissertation Monday, and she asked if I would help her practice tomorrow. So sorry to miss this!

Where exactly are we meeting?

I think we should meet in the gravel parking lot at the Mason Farm Biological Reserve. For those who've never visited Mason Farm, directions can be a little confusing, but I'll try to explain clearly and then provide a map as soon as I can.
1. Find Old Mason Farm Road/Finley Golf Course road on a map. 2. When you see the UNC Finley Golf Course clubhouse (a large modern brick fancy thing with a porch), turn into that entrance.3. Drive around the perimeter of the parking lot behind the clubhouse, and you'll see another one lane paved road that continues around past the driving range.4. Drive past the Mason/Morgan family cemetery (which will be on your right).5. Off to the right of the paved road, just past the cemetery is a gravel road that leads into Mason Farm.6. You should see a large sign and a gate. Pass through.7. Continue for .4 miles. On your right is Morgan Creek.8. Drive over the concrete dam and the small levee to enter the parking lot.
