If you plan to RSVP and not show, this is THE worst!!
If you RSVP yes and decide not to go but don't change your RSVP, this is just incredibly inconsiderate!
If you RSVP yes and unintentionally forget to update your RSVP because you're ignoring emails and have forgotten you RSVP'd yes because you didn't write it on a calendar, please be more responsible.
All of the above is just plain unbecoming for a 'CGSA'! And even worse, it makes an organizer want to pull their hair out :(. You don't want bald organizers do you?
We (the organizers) all work VERY VERY hard to plan the best possible activities for the group. We go out of our way meeting with venues, talking with management, reserving space, giving an attendance count, the list goes on and on...
When you no show, we look bad. Not just the organizers who are left answering to statements/questions like 'well, where was everyone?', 'didn't get as many as you thought, huh?', 'I thought there was supposed to be X amount of people?'. The group looks bad as well in the eyes of venue hosting. Depending on the circumstance surrounding the expected attendance, your no show could make us appear unreliable to the bowling alley, restaurant or presenter, just to name a few.
