Cassandra London has made it into its fifth year, and to celebrate we're heading back to Skype HQ for our first meetup of the year. I'm pleased to say that Skype have agreed to host the meetup regularly this year, so now all we have to do is find some great content.
This month we've got two talks - one on setup and troubleshooting tips and another on Cassandra at Hailo.
Sadly there is a tube strike starting tonight at 9.30pm. You can read TFL's travel advice here. If you want to take a black cab, you can download Hailo and use the promo code DAVE to get £5 off your first ride.
19:00 - Arrive, networking with beer and pizza
19:30 - Adam Hattrell from DataStax (previously Splunk) will be talking about common C* setup problems and advanced troubleshooting tips
20:00 - Dave Gardner from Hailo will be talking about how Hailo have used C* to build an award-winning startup
20:30 - Finish up, more networking and beer
21:00 - Head to nearby pub
In addition to the talks there will be, as usual, plenty of opportunity to meet other Cassandra users and enjoy robust discussions around NoSQL.
Special thanks to Skype for providing the venue, beer and pizza.
Big thanks to long term supporter DataStax. DataStax are one of the largest supporters of the Cassandra project and offer comprehensive support as well as their own distribution of Cassandra, Hadoop and Solr (DataStax Enterprise).
NOTE: We are unable to cater for any attendees under the age of 18. Please do not sign up for this event if you are under 18.
