After a short break, it's good to be able to announce another Cassandra London meetup!
In July we have two fantastic talks lined up. Richard Churchill, one of our regular members, will be sharing his experiences introducing Cassandra at ServiceTick. As CTO, Richard has been at the forefront of exploring NoSQL solutions for ServiceTick for a variety of use cases, including comparative analysis vs DynamoDB and also looking at the open source Solr+Cassandra solution Solandra.
We also have Acunu who will be introducing (with live demo!) their new analytics product, designed to take the hard work out of building an incremental analytics system on top of Cassandra. Acunu analytics allows you to carry out the sort of queries you'd expect to be able to do via SQL like sum, count, distinct, group by.
In addition to the talks there will be, as usual, plenty of opportunity to meet other Cassandra users and enjoy robust discussions around NoSQL.
Cassandra London would not be what it is without its dedicated supporters. Thanks to Acunu for their long-term support and sponsorship (they pay for the free beer and pizza). If you're looking for professional Cassandra support I recommend you check out Acunu's training, consultancy and support products.
If you're attending, please can you sign up with Skills Matter (in addition to meetup) so that they can cater for the right number of people (yes, I know).
Finally, if you're interested in speaking at Cassandra London, please get in touch! The most interesting talks are always those where real users explain their use case.
