This sail (class) is for "relative" Newbies to sailing or those who want to learn the basics of sailing.
The sail (class) starts at 10am and we will cover the parts of a boat, terminology, what is expected of crew, points of sail, raising and lowering halyards, use of sheets.
Then around 1pm, we test your new found skills as we head out for a two to three hour sail in the bay. Each person will have a chance at the helm and working the lines.
Once we arrive safely back at the docks, your lesson is still not over. You will learn the proper way to stow the boat for the next voyage.
The weather looks clear but cool. Make sure you bring non-marking shoes (no flip flops or high heals). We will break for lunch.
Children are welcome (1 per adult)
