600 Old Bluff Rd., Hopkins, SC
I am going to schedule this as a 1st organized meetup for the year. This is about a 7 mile paddle that runs through Congaree National Park. It is a slow moving blackwater creek that has many twists and turns. While any boat will work here, short boats are great for getting around these bends. I checked the water level and it is great right now. Of course this is subject to change. Here is the graph if you wish to follow: http://waterdata.usgs.gov/sc/nwis/uv/?site_no=02169672
Anything over 3 feet here is great and over 7 can be very bad. I ask that everyone that attends this PLEASE bring a drybag with a change of clothing. I have a few extra bags if someone would care to borrow.
Please be on time as we will need to run a shuttle. Bring a snack and water as well as the appropriate clothing. This is a very beautiful section of the park.
Act now and get 50% off.
Until February 1.
