Tell us a little about yourself.

Carpenter by trade, business management by profession. I give back to the community by supporting and building up my church and I'm fifteen years deep into the Boy Scouts. Being the High Adventure type I spend the most time with my Scout Unit. I could write a book about them. For most of them it will define their life and be the experience they will never forget. Google "Boundary Waters" and take a look where they spent ten days. We need to make an adult trip there.

Do you currently kayak, camp or go hiking?

I currently am most active in backpacking and canoeing, canoe camping. I camp out of a seventeen foot sea kayak and these days I'm looking for time and places to explore with it. For some reason, I attract storms, high winds, wild animal stampedes(horses, armadillos, kids with water guns) etc. Backpacking and trout fishing are still on the list.

What type of paddling do you prefer? ie. whitewater, flatwater, day trips, weekend adventures.

Flatwater weekend adventures for sure. Day trips and explorations, you bet. I am also good to travel with. I can cook good food. Hunger is not an option.

I am a life long outdoors man. A lot of experiences, and stories to share about backpacking, Mountaineering, canoeing, hunting and fishing. Always looking for that high adventure experience you could write a book about Daniel Rushing, Indian Trail
