I have many things in my life that I am thankful for. One of my biggest things to be thankful for is thos group. I absolutely love having all of you in my life. It is so much more to me than just a paddling club.

Each of you have become like a family member. I have had time with many of you off the water and had dinner with your families. You have invited me into your homes and made me feel as if I belonged. I have spent camping trips with you and learned so much more than possible with a short trip on the water.

My heart felt so lifted yesterday by the turnout for the picnic. This was by far the largest event ever for the cruisers. Everyone was so gracious and helpful. All stepped up to the plate and pitched in to make it one fantastic day. Had many new faces there and some that I spoke to were very, very impressed. I heard words that some had shied away because they didn't know anyone. Now they felt like they made many new friends and are excited for another chance to meet.

I am sorry that I did not get around to meet each of you and at least say hello. I was very overwhelmed by the number that came out. An hour before the picnic, I was still getting replies saying members were coming. The amount of food was unbelievable... so much and so good. Very special thanks to Dave and Gail who stepped up and took charge of cooking. Also thanks for the gift.

We did manage to get some training in on the water. many were thankful for the chance to try other boats. And the kids were great. They are the next generation of paddlers and why we take our water so seriously.  Noah... I was so thrilled to see you paddle for the first time and did so well. Very hard to get him off the water after that.

All in all, this was one of my best days yet. I thank each and every one of you for having this all come together. I pray that I am able to have many, many more times like this with all of you. You will never know exactly how much you all mean to me. THANK YOU .
