Forgot this ... the scenery was spectacular, Kenny led us through "hill and dale" so well (never anticipated riding the Snake - woohoo!), Gerald monitored and looked out for the whole group from the rear, the group was fun, and I had a GREAT day! Thank you all ....

Had a great time. I really enjoyed the tunnel. Great to meet Heather and Howard. Can't wait until the next ride. Someone make a ride to Charleston, SC for a one or two night stay please. Thanks Kenny for leading us on this ride. Great riding with everyone. I missed Monty and Linda, but they'll be on the next one I see.

8th Wonder of the World is worth seeing - on a bike ride or otherwise. Had never heard of it and really enjoyed seeing this natural wonder! The State Park staff were friendly and the ride down to the site was a treat through nature.

A question about your route ... I would be coming from Mooresville through Hickory ... Any chance I could meet up with you along the way? Perhaps in Morgantown?

    September 1, 2013

    • Heather H.

That's great! What time should I be there?

For those in the Statesville/Mooresville area, two of us are meeting at Exit 42 I-77 at McDonald's at 6:30am (!!!) and joining the group for breakfast before riding.

We went a month or so ago & it was awesome!! $2 or $3 to park & $3 a piece for the chair lift down to the tunnel. Well worth it tho!

Since I moved to Hickory a month ago from Colorado I was all set to pay my $10 and get in on some of these great rides. Well 3 weeks ago I broke my fibula and tibia and will have to wait till spring before I can ride. Do I still have to pay my $10?? or can I wait till the leg is ready??

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
