Welcome to the Chesapeake Bay Sierra Club Outings Group!

This meetup group was created as a supplement to the Chesapeake Bay Group Sierra Club. The purpose of this group is to have an organized way of communicated about outings. This page will be updated will all the information pertaining to outings and will provide an easy way for members interested in outings to stay informed.

Not only are you able to get information about events, but you will also be able to post photos and comments about the outings once they are complete.

The Chesapeake Bay Group serves the cities of Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk and Virginia Beach, and the counties of Accomack and Northampton on Virginia's Eastern Shore.

*Although it is not required that you be a Sierra Club member to participate in outings it is our hope that after attending an outing or two that you will choose to join the Sierra Club. This is utmost a grassroots, environmentialist ogranization that's goal is to preserve and protect our natural surroundings.*

Our Plan: We will meet at the Virginia Beach Central Library at 7:45am. We will meet on the far side of the parking lot nearest Virginia Beach Boulevard and away from the library. I have a gold Ford Taurus, I should be there when you get there. Look for that. We will leave promptly at 7:55, so please be on time! We should reach the Visitor Center by 8:45 to begin our tour.
