Concert by the Springs - Kinchafoonee Cowboys/Dickey's BBQ Baskets for members

Concerts by the Springs:

Join Celebrate Atlanta for the Kinchafoonee Cowboys concert on the lawn at Heritage Green in Sandy Springs. The concert runs from 7-8:30 p.m. at Heritage Green on the Sandy Springs Society Entertainment Lawn, 6110 Bluestone Road, Sandy Springs, Ga.

The Cowboys are favorites around the state of Georgia and play all types of venues from small clubs to large outdoor festivals. The group has shared billing with entertainers such as Alabama, John Anderson, Trisha Yearwood, Diamond Rio, Tracy Lawrence, Martina McBride, Widespread Panic, Blues Traveler, Dave Matthews Band, and many others.

The Kinchafoonee Cowboys have released three studio albums and one live album. The first, Sowega, was recorded in Athens, GA in 1991 at Saturn Recording Studio. Their second album, Deep Dark Water, was recorded in Nashville, TN at the Home Place Studio in 1994. (These first two albums are now sold together as a compilation called[masked]). Their third "self-titled" album, Kinchafoonee, was recorded at Maxwell Sound in Athens, GA in 1998. In 2001, Sic 'em Dawgs was released as a single. In 2005, Cowboy Ways: Live at the Georgia Theatre was released and introduced the now infamous, “Smokey Beaver”. Although hard copies of many of these albums have sold out, individual songs are available on Itunes. The Kinchafoonee Cowboys continue to play music venues, festivals, weddings, county fairs, private parties, and honky-tonks throughout the state of Georgia.

Heritage Park is not conducive to picnic group tables so bring a cooler with some wine, cheese and dinner.

Dickey's BBQ Picnic Basket available to Celebrate members for just $8.55.

Celebrate Atlanta has negotiated a great deal for members attending the concert in Sandy Springs.  Dickeys BBQ will prepare a "to go" picnic box for any Celebrate Atlanta member attending Sandy Springs tonight and listed as going (I am providing them a list).  Dickeys is located at 6631 Roswell Road (intersection of Abernathy) in the Publix shopping center very close to the Hardees (Abernathy side of the center). Dickey's is about a mile from tonight's concert so stop on your way and pick up your BBQ Dinner to go!!!

Here is the deal for Celebrate members and guests:  Any meat plate including two sides , roll, onions, pickles, sauce, extra large (32 oz) soft drink or iced tea (plastic reusable cup with lid) for $8.55 including tax.  While there you can also enjoy free soft serve ice cream (hmm, I am not sure I would advise bringing this to the park unless you like soft serve soup!!!).  The regular price for this package would be$12.70 so Celebrate Member are saving over $3!!!

Here are the meat choices:  Ribs, sliced brisket, chopped brisket, turkey breast, ham, chicken breast, polish sausage, spicy cheddar sausage, pulled pork.

Here are the sides:

BBQ beans, cole slaw, potato salad, jalapeno beans, green beans & bacon, baked potato casserole, mac & cheese, fried okra, Caesar salad, waffle fries, fried onion tanglers, chips.

So stop by Dickeys on your way to the Concert by the Springs in Sandy Springs and pick up your picnic dinner pack then come enjoy your dinner while we enjoy the music of the Mustangs.  Again, just mention Celebrate Atlanta.  If you are on the going list, they will have your name!!!

So join us on Sunday evening September 8 for Kinchafoonee Cowboys at Heritage Park.

The band was great, especially if you like country music! They played very danceable music!

It was hard to find people at first and it wasn't very comfortable to come alone. I ended up having a good time anyway.
