Alive After Five 2014 - Pastis-Downtown Roswell - Live Music and Dancing

Alive After Five in Historic Downtown Roswell - - Pastis, including drink specials, live music and dancing.

Join Celebrate Atlanta for the Alive After Five debut for 2014 in downtown Roswell on April 17, 2014. This is a great way to unwind after work, browsing the shops and galleries of historic Roswell, Ga., enjoying live music and food. Alive After Five is the THIRD THURSDAY each month, from 5pm-9pm and is a monthly (April to October) event to get people out and about in Roswell. All the shops offer free snacks and drinks, there is live music and a few specialty vendors selling everything from handcrafted jewelry to unusual lawn art.

Alive After 5 is an event designed to promote and celebrate the spirit and history of Roswell. Participating businesses open their doors to the public and offer tours, appetizers and refreshments. This unique party-atmosphere makes its way up and down the quaint streets from booths on the brick sidewalks to the copious amount of outside dining.

Roswell has free parking and a shuttle at City Hall. Parking in the downtown Roswell area is $3 this year.

For 2014, Canton Street will be closed off to traffic until 9 pm.

From Rock to Country to Acoustic, you will find something that you’ll enjoy every night on the streets of downtown Historic Roswell.

Our host for Alive After Five is Pastis. Pastis will be the Celebrate Atlanta Alive After Five (Roswell) headquarters. We will meet there and members can move up and down Canton Street from Pastis. To get the event off to a great start, Pastis will offer drink specials. Best of all, since Pastis will be our headquarters and meeting place, you can come and go from Pastis the festival and enjoy the listed specials all night long. Beginning at 7:30 Pastis also has live music and dancing. Dancing will continue at Pastis after Alive After Five ends at 9 pm.

Drink Specials: ordered outside only for this discount
$4 Adult Lemonade
$4 Draft

Please note that all drinks will be served in a plastic cup unless you intend to stay at Pastis with your drink. For Alive After Five, you are allowed to take your drinks with you and drink on the streets as long as your beverage is in a plastic cup.

So join us at 5:00 or anytime thereafter. I posted this at 5 since parking is much easier at that time. However, come to Pastis at anytime thereafter, grab a drink at special prices, then enjoy Alive After Five, always remembering that Pastis will be the place to return to for live music and dancing. See you at Alive After Five as we celebrate this great festival, Celebrate Atlanta style.

Parking was easy... Dancing was hard. I should have parked my Ferragamo's. Perfect day! Great times!

Hi Dave--You did another terriffic event by inviting every living soul who lives in Roswell to the "Arrive After Five" event. I saw you sneaking out because the croud started to get worse. Looks like you knew where to park free 2 miles away.

    April 19, 2014

    • Dave G

I am not sure what a croud is but I stayed until about 9:15 and loved the "crowd. " I actually parked in City Hall which is across from Pastis through the short trail as I recommended to members. If it is two miles, I must have gone the wrong way first as it is about 1/4 mile at most.

I'll get there as soon as I can but, coming from Buckhead, we'll see what the traffic brings... Please don't count me out as it may be 7 for me too!

What was the $5 entry fee I paid for?

      April 19, 2014

    • Dave G

Well actually entry was free. I do know that Roswell has a $5 fee for fools. To the best of my knowledge, you were the only one they charged. Imagine that.
