Dinner & Dance at the Ridge/live music/DJ/discount dinner/drinks

  • Jun 7, 2014 · 8:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Join Celebrate Atlanta for a Dance Party at the Ridge Seafood and Steakhouse. We will start the fun by enjoying the Las Vegas style show by Tony Mele formerly of the Merve Griffin Las Vegas Review. At 10:30, a DJ takes over playing dance tunes from the 70's to today. Dancing until 2 am. Naturally, we will have full dinner specials exclusive to Celebrate Atlanta members. Free admission for Celebrate Atlanta members and there guests all night.

The dance floor is huge and the ambiance upscale at The Ridge in Cumming (right off of 400). The food is superb at this steak and seafood house, known for exquisite dining, great dancing and wonderful music.

There is normally a $5 cover charge after 10. However, Celebrate Atlanta members and guests get in free all night.

Celebrate Atlanta members will not want to miss this event as we go high end upscale dining but down and dirty dancing for a party not to be missed.

As stated, Tony Mele will provide live entertainment. Mele is a wonderfully seasoned entertainer who was one of Vegas’ premier singers in the 1970s, was John Davidson’s protégé and later was part of the Merv Griffin show at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas!

I'm sorry that I cannot attend this time. I am traveling through Alabama on business. I'm looking forward to the next meet up!

Bacon Cheeseburger (medium well), (bacon medium), year old aged sliced Swiss, with tomato, lettuce, ketchup and mayo. Large homemade onion rings, unsweet tea, water, and chocolate silk pie for desert - Followed later in the evening with 2 shots of fireball, 3 coronas, and one hell of a night on the dance floor!

I gained two pounds reading this. I am too poor to afford chocolate silk pie. That explains why I eat silk worm pie. You get some pie and make a shirt at the same time.

Great party, the singer was so energetic, and the DJ was very cool with requests which is rare, thanks organizers

Thanks to all for attending. Thanks to Norm, Rose and Kathy for hosting. Sorry about the tables on the dance floor. They are supposed to come up at 10:30 but the birthday party using the tables stayed there most of the night. In fact, they were still there when I left after 12:30 am. Apologies to Norma and Brenda. I did plan on dancing with you but I ended up on the deck for about an hour in a discussion with the events coordinator for the Ridge and Joey D's (they are sister restaurants) trying to salvage our relationship with Joey D's (I think I did). Another group went there recently and something happened so they decided, no more meet up groups. Anyway, I was discussing this with them since I have hosted events there since 2010. I think I got it resolved but we will see. In any event, as to the dances I promised Norma and Brenda, I guess it depend on how you look at it. Since I did not, either I need to apologize or maybe it was your lucky day.

This was a great evening dancing and talking to some very nice people. The singer was awesome! Who would have thought that guy could sound so great with so many differnt songs. A professional performer for sure. I wish they had moved the tables off the dance floor like they usually do.

Cheryl, I actually met your guest on Thursday. She was with my ex wife at our event at Grace 1720. Not sure if she got all the dirt on me but I thought I saw her leaving with a pail of something.

    Its Donald
Whats the deal about name badges?

    June 5, 2014

    • Valerie M.

      I have the same question.

      June 7, 2014

    • Dave G

If you read the comments, you would have found the answer. This must be the "whats with the name tag event." We use name tags at all events (except hikes and beach events), so why is this coming up so much for this particular event?

I'm going. How do you know if you're a member of CA? I don't have a name tag. I can make my own. Lol

    1 · June 7, 2014

    • holly r.

Valerie, you get your name tag when you get there. You are already on the list since you signed up.

By the way what is the dress code ?

    June 4, 2014

    • Sally-Ann

Hi Stephan, I was at the Ridge about a month ago and I saw that most people were wearing dressy casual type clothing. They don't require a jacket for men. I hope that helps.

    Hello
I would like to go to this event. I don't want to eat alone.
How will I know where the group is?
    Thanks

    June 4, 2014

    • Dave G

It is literally impossible to eat alone as we take up so much space. I don't think they even have tables for one. Besides, I thought they only had tables for one for misbehaving school kids. Naturally, I would not know since I was such an angel in school (well outside of blowing up a bathroom once in ugh grade).

      1 · June 4, 2014

    • Dave G

I think I meant 9th grade. Ugh was what teachers said on the first day of school when they saw I was going to be in their class.

I also need to pickup my name badge.

    June 2, 2014

  • Stephan Pacheco S.

Thanks Dave enjoy the rest of ur week.

    June 2, 2014

  • Stephan Pacheco S.

The last event I went to I inquired about my (paid for) badge and was told it had to be redone. I'd like to know if it was and do u have it. ( Celebrate Atl.) Can I pick it up at this event if I go ?

    June 2, 2014

    • Dave G

I do not do the name badges and thus do not have them. If I see Steve this week, I will pick it up for you.

      June 2, 2014

  • Sally-Ann

What are these "name badges" that keep being mentioned?

    June 2, 2014

    • Dave G

The name badges are the permanent name tags that Steve H. sells to members. Check in for this event will likely be in the back private room or if the weather cooperates, on the outside deck.

      June 2, 2014

  • Stephan Pacheco S.

Yes I was wondering if my name tag ever came in ?
