This group provides experiences and learning opportunities dedicated to teaching you how to engage with Nature as a true teacher and the way of harmony in our lives. We welcome all those who seek to discover deeper connection with Mother Earth and who are interested in ritualizing in a community.

Please note: our meet ups primarily happen in Monmouth and Ocean counties.  All fees charged for various events go to offset the costs of maintaining and promoting the group as well as developing new experiential programs.

Why Nature as Our Greatest Spiritual Teacher?

In modern cultures there is a bias against Nature and our own wildness, which leads many to an emphasis on the realm of Spirit and symbolism. This split against Nature has led to not only social ills (a dying planet) but physical, psychological and emotional ills.

When we observe and engage with Nature, we open the door to our intelligence, notice the lessons to be learned, and see that everything has its own purpose, rhythm and balance. We learn from Nature about how to truly be who we are -- that is, to be in full and open self-expression.

Nature teaches limits as well as possibilities, if we are willing to learn. Nature also gives us an easy and powerful way to work in the realm of soul ~ even a small amount of time in Nature can awaken the Sacred within.

Studies repeatedly show that Nature also heals: contact with Nature can lower blood pressure, reduce anxiety, relieve stress, sharpen mental states, cultivate new skills, facilitate recovery from surgery and other health crises. Among children with attention and conduct disorders, Naturn can help improve behavior and learning. (The list of benefits goes on!)

The Earth is waiting to be in relationship with us all, and stepping into that relationship can bring profound insight and knowledge. Working in Nature is about opening to the possibility that the entire universe is a resource for growth and healing. At the same time, we work to preserve Her.

As a community, we will use many tools and practices* to move ourselves in closer connection with Nature, who shows us that divinity is inherent in everything.

These activities will help you:

Remove distractions and incite you into a very deep connection and conversation with the Sacred Earth and your soul.

Call out the deepest stirrings and help you make sense of yourself without intellectual overlays.

Help you move toward both the core of your individuality as well as the realm of your oneness with all.

Each lunar and solar celebration event will be structured as a circle within a square, meaning that we will actively engage with the elements and create a sacred space before engaging in our tools, activities and practices. Among other tools and activities we will engage in include:

    Nature walks and hikes

    Meditations in wild places

Having a conversation with something in nature, or the Earth itself

    Earth-focused movie nights

    Volunteering for Earth-centric causes

Honoring Genius Loci (spirit of place)

Celebrating the rhythms and cycles of Earth (i.e., full moon, new moon, Equinox and Solstice rituals)

“Taking Care & Giving Back” rituals (i.e., beach clean ups)

Personal and communal rituals and ceremonies

    Working with power animals
