Celiac Awareness Day at Citifield: Mets vs. Phillies

One in 100 Americans has Celiac Disease, but 95% of those suffering from the disease don't know they have it. Celiac Awareness Day at Citi Field will benefit R.O.C.K. Long Island, which offers free support to parents, families and friends of kids on the gluten-free diet for any reason.

Please visit Mets.com/CELIAC to purchase tickets.

• Come early and enjoy a private pre-game event for Celiac Disease supporters in the Bullpen Plaza. SNY's Kevin Burkhardt will be in attendance along with Mr. Met and current Mets players!

• Enjoy expanded gluten-free options in concession stands adjacent to your seats.

• Sit together with family, friends, and fellow supporters of R.O.C.K. Long Island in reserved seating (with this offer in advance of the game) which includes access to the exclusive Caesars Club.

• The New York Mets will donate a portion of each ticket sold through this advance offer to R.O.C.K. Long Island.

• The first 500 purchasers will receive a Limited Edition Celiac Disease Awareness Bracelet.

I arrived at 12:20, which I thought was 10 minutes early. Other than Kevin, I only saw Mr. Met, no players. Perhaps they were there earlier, but I think the event was called for 12:30. That said, I was very lucky to win two auction items so no complaints.

I brought my husband and 3 friends. We didn't join in any of the celiac meetup festivities but we had an excellent time. the weather was great and I had my first ever ballpark frank with a bun!! Can't beat that. Thank you so much for the heads up about this deal!

Hope fully it does not rain. The game continues but the gluten free stand is closed. I went last summer with my daughter. Hopefully people bring this up so no one has the same problem.

    Question:
I bought the $59 tickets that come with $15 of concession money, but it doesn't say anywhere on the tickets I printed out that that comes with the ticket or how to redeem the $15. Anybody know whats up with that?
